Chinese astrology or typical astrology which is more accurate?
and what are characteristics of the Chinese sign, the Snake?
My other sign is Scorpio, but I already know everything about Scorpios.
Also if you want to explain how does chinese astrology work? I know that in the other system your sign is determined by what sign the sun was traveling through on your birthdate what does the chinese system go by? Thank you
Sorry, posting this question twice was an accident.

the chinese system goes by the year you born in. like im 1992 im the monkey. i think typical astrology is more accurate in my opinion. but here is info about the snake
Diplomatic and popular, the Snake has the sensual art of seduction down. This Sign is an interesting mix of gregariousness paired with introversion, intuitive reasoning paired with savvy business skills. Snakes are considered to be lucky with money and will generally have more than enough to live life to the fullest, regardless of how important it considers money to be; this may be due to the fact that Snakes tend to be rather tight with cash. They’re not stingy, they’re simply more mentally than physically active. Snakes tend to hang back a bit in order to analyze a situation before jumping into it. Their charming, seductive quality actually belies a rather retiring nature; this Sign is perfectly happy to spend the whole day curled up with a good book and, thus, can be mislabeled as being lazy.

Western astrology is more than just your Sun sign. You also have a Rising sign, Moon sign, Venus, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto sign.
In your birth chart, or natal chart, it is divided into 12 houses and the planets fall in specific houses with specific meanings according to the date, exact time, and city you were born in. This is why astrology is unique to the individual and unless someone was born at the exact same time as you, the same day, and the same city…which I don’t know of anyone, personally…every chart is different and unique.
That is why Western Astrology is more accurate.
Chinese astrology goes by the whole year of birth for the sign (animal) and the end number of the year for the element (wood, metal, fire, earth, water), if the number is even it’s Yang, if it’s odd it’s Yin.
So for example, I was born in 1985 so I am a Yin Wood Ox.
There is more to Chinese astrology that just this, but here is traits of the Snake:
Snake (Yin, 2nd Trine, Fixed Element Fire): Deep thinker, wise, mystic, graceful, soft-spoken, sensual, creative, prudent, shrewd, ambitious, elegant, cautious, responsible, calm, strong, constant, purposeful. Can be loner, bad communicator, possessive, hedonistic, self-doubting, distrustful, mendacious.

How about this: Neither one is accurate. They are both made up by ancient cultures trying to make sense of life. They are both incomplete explanations of that, and they are both over-generalized silliness. I hope all the time you’ve spent learning about Scorpios was for fun and relaxation, and not a search of answers to existance.

chinese astrology is determined by what year you were born in. it’s a 12 year cycle that starts with the rat and ends with the pig with 12 animals in all, including rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig. 2008 is the year of the rat. a snake is deep thinker, wise, mystic, graceful, soft-spoken, sensual, creative, prudent, shrewd, ambitious, elegant, cautious, responsible, calm, strong, constant, purposeful. Can be loner, bad communicator, possessive, hedonistic, self-doubting, distrustful, mendacious. i’d say the normal astrology is more accurate
